The inspiration behind this unique and exciting cycling and culture experience tour in Cortona, Tuscany is the idea and creation of Paul Bryson. Paul has lived in Cortona for the past 8 years, knows the terrain extremely well and will be hands on to assist in every way possible, making this a very personalised tour.
Given the popularity of the area with local Italian cyclists, Paul realised this would be an ideal location for other cyclists to experience the Cortonese cycle experience too. With the expert assistance and knowledge of Charles Nicell and Mark Moroney, who have been club cycling in Ireland for the past 30 years, they quickly came to the conclusion that the terrain around Cortona, Tuscany – bordering Umbria to the South and Le Marche to the East – with all their varying landscapes and altitudes from plain to gentle hills to mountainous terrain, would make the perfect destination for these unique cycling experience tours.
They set about identifying the routes to suit all levels of cyclists’ ability – easy, challenging and extreme. Club cyclists will find this exclusive and unique tour very personal and enjoyable not just about the stunning Tuscan landscape, the beautiful 19 century Villa Nobile accommodation and your tour host, Paul Bryson, will be on hand leading the tour routes each day with a support vehicle, carrying a selection of spare parts should the need arise. Cyclists will be supplied with fresh free drinking water for their bottles on a daily basis. There will also be transportation to the Etruscan-Roman hill town of Cortona, 15mins.
All in all, cyclists will be guaranteed a very personal, enjoyable and fantastic cycle experience tour, meeting all levels of cyclists’ ability. We are sure cyclists will find the pick up and collection service from airport to accommodation to airport an incredible help – taking out the hassle and stress of travelling by train or bus to reach the destination and just look forward to your cycling experience at an excellent cost!
We look forward to hearing from you!
